Synergy Group remains committed to its current CSR policy aimed at supporting education and sport. We believe that investment in education and sport is the best investment we can make for the future development of Azerbaijan. The Group has developed a solid CSR policy and implemented various social projects.
Our activities in social spheres are also highly assessed by our counterparts. Synergy Group has recently received AMCHAM CSR Excellence Award for its contribution to the development of regions in Azerbaijan.
Educational Development – Synergy Group contributes for the intellectual development of young people. We actively support initiatives of Azerbaijan University to expand with international exchange programs for the students and academic staff. We funded a number of international exchange projects of Azerbaijan University with universities in Europe and the USA. At the same time, Synergy Group is also a main sponsor of the popular TV Project “Parlag Zeka”, which provides opportunities to talented young people to pursue their education abroad.
Synergy Baku Cycling – Synergy Group supports development and promotion of cycling in Azerbaijan. We have established the first cycling team of Azerbaijan – “Synergy Baku Cycling”. At the same time, we provide general sponsorship to the Tour d’Azerbaidjan – international cycling tournament. Supporting “Synergy Baku” team and providing sponsorship for the tournament enable cycling more popular in Azerbaijan and advocate cycling habits for healthy life-style among citizens.
Shamkir Chess – Synergy Group supported organization of chess super tournament in memory of national grand master Vugar Gashimov. The super tournament brought world top chess players to Shamkir, including Magnus Carlsen, Viswanathan Anand, Vladimir Kramnik, Hikaru Nakamura, Wesley So, Fabiano Caruana, Sergey Karjakin, Anish Giri, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave, Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, Teimour Radjabov and Rauf Mamedov. It has been already a tradition to organize chess tournament in Shamkir for the second time in raw with involvement of top grandmasters. All national as well as prominent international media channels promoted the event on a daily basis and brought Azerbaijan, as well as Shamkir, to the world attention during the 10 days of super tournament.
