Cdb bank : A genuine CSR approach
Good business and strong values go hand in hand. We actively leverage the capacity of our core business to strengthen the community where we operate. For us, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) stands for creating substantial value for our stakeholders and the society in general. A culture of responsibility is cultivated throughout the organization, from top to bottom.
Our CSR program is our continuous promise in behaving fairly with considerable contribution to the economic development of our country while making our best efforts to improve the quality of life for our employees, their families and the society at large.
We provide value to the society by directly leveraging our experience in areas such as community progress, entrepreneurship and innovation and youth employment. Our workforce is always ready to help, support and accelerate the achievement of the United Nations’ 17 sustainable development goals.
Research and Education
cdbbank is the founder of the Cyprus International Institute of Management (CIIM), a non-profit international business school which has received over the years international accreditations, recognitions, rankings and distinctions. We are investing in career-oriented education to help young people and adults develop the skills they need to get on a stable career path. We continuously promote academic excellence by rewarding students with outstanding performance; while supporting academic research as well.
Health
We have become a direct supporter of Karaiskakio Foundation and we are eager to support its initiative for creating a child oncology centre, focusing on the research and development for the diagnosis and cure of child cancer of any form. Karaiskakio Foundation has recorded a remarkable presence in both the humanitarian and scientific fields in Cyprus and has evolved into an internationally recognized Bone Marrow Donors Registry that represents the biggest per capita Donor Registry worldwide.
Environment
Being an organization sensitive in climate changes we declare our commitment in balancing economic growth with environmental factors and we apply several practices to ensure that our operations are eco-friendly. These include amongst others recycling of all materials used, installation of energy and water saving systems and paperless business conduct.
