Localization of the SDGs in Algeria: strengthening local capacities for inclusive local development
in the framework of the #CapDEL Program, in preparation for the training of trainers that will take place in the months of April and May, several women elected, trainers for elected officials and managers of the municipal administration, as well as heads of projects of local associations met in Algiers to work on adapting the content and methodology of training to local realities, and the capacities and expectations of local actors.
The goal? Strengthen local capacity to work and ensure the localization of Sustainable Development Goals while considering the SDGs in the process of planning, implementation, and monitoring of local plans, as part of a cross-sectoral and multilevel approach.
Supported by the Ministry of the Interior, Local Authorities and Territorial Planning and supported by the European Union and the United Nations Development Program, the #CapDeL : “participatory democracy and local development”, supports the local authorities, civil society and economic operators in their participatory processes of local development, economic in particular.
