Avinton has social responsibility towards team members and society

As a company, we have a responsibility towards our team members and society. To take on this Corporate Social Responsibility, we defined a common set of values that form the basis of our work. At Avinton, we provide fair conditions and a healthy work-life balance, flat organizational structures, and follow strict labor standards regarding health and safety. We offer consulting services and system development to help make deeper sense of our surroundings and transform how we utilize technology. We aim to develop not only excellent engineers but also people who care about others. Through donation initiatives or visiting welfare facilities that technicians don’t usually visit or interact with, we gain an understanding that society is based on the cooperation and contributions of everyone.

It is our goal to reduce environmental impacts in our business activities. On our mission to become a “paperless office,” we aim to use a minimal amount of paper and encourage all our employees, suppliers, and customers to use electronic signatures and avoid sending paperwork back and forth. We use digital documents and online applications, and store soft copies to share them with the team and check them remotely. We regularly organize volunteering activities, encouraging our members to play an active role in restoring and protecting the environment.

A diverse team will create diverse solutions. At Avinton, we are proud of our highly skilled members. They originate from more than 33 different countries (40% Japanese / 60% non-Japanese) and have various educational backgrounds. We aim to provide a flat work environment that respects and values different perspectives, talents, and experiences. We believe that being oneself cultivates trust—the foundation for an effective working relationship. Our training and career development opportunities allow both newcomers and experienced professionals of different age groups to build or expand a successful career in IT. We also aim to increase the number of women in the industry. Our CEO, Sachiko Nakase, as well as 90% of our back-office members, are women between 20 and 50 years old. In our regular “Women Meetup,” we openly discuss the challenges of handling career and family life, as well as the great opportunities for women at Avinton.
