For the fifth year in a row Transurban have been included in DJSI’s World Index, which assesses the sustainability performance of 4,000 companies globally. To make this list a company must score within the top 10 per cent of all companies assessed.

GRESB assess hundreds of listed and unlisted infrastructure companies around the world and provides a rating for sustainability performance. This allows investors to easily compare sustainability performance between companies. This year we ranked first in its ‘listed infrastructure’ category, second in its ‘motorway’ category and third in its ‘road transport category’.

Support the Goals is a global initiative to rate and recognize the businesses that support the UN Sustainable Development  Goals. The organization works with researchers from leading universities to analyze how businesses publicly communicate their support for the Global Goals by reviewing five key categories: planning, commitments, actions, progress, and suppliers. Business are awarded one star for each step supported by evidence. Transurban is the first company in Australia’s ASX100 to achieve a 5-star rating, and one of only a handful of companies in the world.

These strong ratings are the result of sustained commitment to reducing our environmental footprint and improving our social impact.
