Great Eastern Life’s Donation to Underprivileged Children Homes
Great Eastern Life Assurance Malaysia Berhad, also known as Great Eastern Life, donated a total of RM25,000 to 11 underprivileged children’s homes under Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat (JKM) located in Klang, Kajang, Rawang, Subang Jaya, Ampang, and Cheras. This contribution is part of the company’s longstanding corporate social responsibility project, ChildrenCare, which has been active since 1995.
ChildrenCare aims to cultivate a spirit of compassion and generosity among Great Eastern Life’s staff and agency members. The organization collaborates closely with government ministries and various non-governmental organizations to support children’s welfare programs, addressing their daily challenges.
As part of this initiative, Rumah Amal Permata Rohani and Pertubuhan Pendidikan Anak-Anak Yatim Selangor received essential appliances like refrigerators and washing machines. Additionally, seven homes were given RM2,000 worth of gift vouchers for their shopping needs. Two other homes received 50 Sunny Fitri Delight gift boxes valued at RM5,000, each containing a new watch, chocolates, cash vouchers, and snacks. The recipients were overjoyed with these contributions, which collectively benefited over 200 underprivileged children.
