AQUA study looks at the quality of HE and the Sustainable Development Goals in Andorra

The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education of Andorra (AQUA) has published a study entitled “The Quality of Higher Education in Andorra and the Sustainable Development Goals”. It presents a proposal to introduce the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 United Nations Agenda into the quality assessment of higher education (HE) in Andorra making explicit reference to the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). The proposal aims to tackle the challenge of sustainability strategically and promote systemic changes in higher education institutions (HEIs).

The study has led to a project “Making connections between Institutional Evaluation and Sustainable Development Goals (United Nations): Empowering stakeholders for quality enhancement”. Within the framework of the project, a common view of quality and sustainability in HE among stakeholders has been explored and initiatives to introduce and evaluate SDGs in HEIs have been analysed. This project is co-financed by the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) and AQUA has carried it out in collaboration with the Aragon Agency for Quality Assurance and Strategic Foresight in Higher Education (ACPUA).
