Banco do Brasil is the most sustainable Brazilian firm in the world
Banco do Brasil SA has been recognized as one of the two most sustainable banks in the world in the Global 100, the Corporate Knights’ index of the world’s most sustainable corporations corresponding to 2020.
That ranking was disseminated during the Davos Global Economic Forum in Switzerland last week. After a rigorous selection of 7395 firms with more than a billion USD of proceeds, Banco do Brasil was ranked in the ninth position Corporate Knights’ index.
The Inter-American Development Bank, throughout International Climate Initiative (IKI) technical cooperation support, has been actively working with Banco do Brasil in developing green finance strategy as part of the bank activities. Including, Banco do Brasil Agenda 30, contributing to the Bank employees training, technical support in their product design and reviewing its participation in sustainable instruments available.
