Sustainability on the runway in Monte-Carlo Fashion Week
Fashion and sustainability will take center stage at this year’s 9th edition of the Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW). As part of the event, emerging designers will have the opportunity to showcase their green collections by participating in the event’s Sustainable Contest.
Fashion enthusiasts should mark their calendars. Over the course of five days, some of the biggest names in the fashion world will unite on Monaco’s runway. Participants and professionals will display their talents before a highly esteemed panel, including some of the industry’s most innovative designers.
For the fifth consecutive year, the event will be held under the High Patronage of Princess Charlène of Monaco, with a particular focus on ethical and sustainable clothing. This year’s slogan, #sustainabletogether, highlights the importance of raising awareness about fast fashion and the need for a greener industry.
Up-and-coming designers will also have the chance to present their collections. Following its previous success, the MCFW Sustainable Contest returns, calling upon all “Green” designers to submit a short video showcasing their eco-friendly brand. The voting jury includes prestigious names like Sara Sozzani Maino, Head of Vogue Talents. The results will be announced, and the winner will have the opportunity to present their collection in the official program of the MCFW.
